It's almost here! The most exciting time of the year, as Coach Scott would say :)
I just want to say a HUGE thank you to our coaches and to the families on this team. We have an unbelievably supportive and hardworking parent group that have made our jobs as managers so much easier.
I'm attaching an updated Provincials Itinerary below.
Thank you to Janet for organizing team lunches and Colleen Hozack for her generous food donations. The lunches will cover all players, coaches, parents and siblings. Annette is also sending homemade snacks for the kids - thank you all!
I'll be picking up hoodies hopefully Wednesday to give out to everyone that night. Kids will wear hoodies and dark pants for the banquet. Track suits for games. And I was just recently informed they want teams to wear jerseys for opening ceremonies now - will update after the coach/manager meeting if there are any changes or further details on that.
We are asking that everyone please bring a cheque to Tuesday's practice, payable to Kitscoty Atom to cover the amount of your Banquet tickets and University Cup Hockey tickets - see breakdown for each family attached below. Thank you again to Tyson for organizing the game tickets - should be a fun night!
Due to overwhelming support from family businesses, corporate sponsors, and Shane working his connections to secure sponsor money, we will NOT need to collect any further team fees. I've attached a breakdown of where our Team account is at with a sponsor list and where the money is going - like I said, we have a pretty amazing and supportive group here!
Please note that the "hats" listed on the expense sheet are a gift to the kids and will be a surprise, so please don't say anything to your player(s). Huge thanks to Pratts and Leightons for getting these done - it wasn't easy on short notice.
There will be a photographer at Provincials who will shoot every game, opening ceremonies, semi final and finals. We have purchased a team package for $300, which means she will give us a link with access to all of our team's photos to download/print etc. They estimate it will be at least 300 photos per team.
Last but not least - please remember to bring your cowbells, noisemakers, signs etc. and anything else to help us cheer these kids on! Nasby's are getting an awesome banner made up and we will even have a super cute mascot in our cheering squad (thanks Pauls!)
